After a 25 point, demoralizing loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday, April 7, Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Scott Brooks called his team together on Wednesday at the Thunder practice facility and gave them the day off to regroup.

The off day comes while OKC is in the midst of a battle against the New Orleans Pelicans for the eighth and last playoff spot in the NBA’s Western Conference.

OKC is currently in their second longest losing streak of the season as well, dropping their last four games.

Brooks club has just four games left to try to retake the eight spot and make the playoffs for the sixth straight season.

The Thunder haven’t missed the playoffs since the 2008-09 season, when the franchise moved to Oklahoma City from Seattle.

Oklahoma City’s remaining games start on Friday, April 10, when they host the Sacramento Kings, then on Sunday, April 10, they travel to Indianapolis to take on the Pacers, the very next night they return to OKC to face off with the Portland Trailblazers and then wrap up their season on April 15 at Minnesota against the Timberwolves.
