OKLAHOMA CITY – After a tough loss to the Indiana Pacers, many Oklahoma City Thunder fans were concerned about the team’s chances of making the NBA Playoffs.

This season, several players have been sidelined with injuries, including Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Fortunately, Westbrook was able to return to the court and has been leading the team in Durant’s absence.

However, it seemed Westbrook’s charge toward the playoffs hit a snag on Sunday.

During the game against the Pacers, Westbrook picked up his 16th technical foul of the season in the fourth quarter.

Having 16 technical fouls means he was facing a one-game suspension, which would leave the Thunder without Westbrook during Monday’s home finale against the Portland Trail Blazers.

On Monday morning, the NBA announced that it rescinded Westbrook’s technical foul, meaning he will not have to sit out a game.

Oklahoma City needs the New Orleans Pelicans to lose one of their remaining two games, while the Thunder need to win out to have a shot at the post season.

Monday night’s game against the Trail Blazers tips off at 7 p.m.
