Kevin Durant Breaks Silence On Latest Surgery

Kevin Durant met with the media this morning, March 4, for the first time since having a second surgery to address a fracture in his right foot.

The second surgery was to place a new screw in the reigning MVP’s foot after the first screw was causing soreness and irritation for him.

The 26-year-old has missed the Thunder’s last six games recovering from the latest surgery.

Durant did not give a specific timeline for his return but did add, “I should be fine here soon.”

KD also said the new screw, “feels so much better” and that he doesn’t want to try force anything or rush back too soon.

Durant has missed 33 games this season, more than his previous seven seasons in the NBA combined.

The Thunder have a 15-18 record when Durant does not play.

Scott Brooks’ squad has a one game lead for the eighth and final playoff spot in the NBA’s western conference.
