OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – A bizarre robbery and kidnapping kept police busy in southwest Oklahoma City Wednesday night.
The victim, Bryan Tillman, says he was at his home loading stuff into his van when three masked men pulled into his driveway.
Cass Marchant, Dane Christle-Anderson and Travis Crochet are accused of robbing the father of two.
Tillman says they originally came to his home looking for his friend, Josh.
“I was like, ‘I don’t know where Josh is. I don’t know where he is.’ He’s like, ‘Well, you’re going to pay me $600 or you’re going to have big problems,'” Tillman said.
Tillman said he could not find his wallet, so he told the men he needed to meet up with his girlfriend to get it.
At gun point, Tillman says he got into his van with Marchant.
“I’ve never been in that situation, so I mean, yeah, I was scared. I’ve never had a gun pointed at me,” Tillman said.
Knowing a nearby gas station had cameras, he drove to the store with the two other men following close behind.
His brother and father saw what was happening and called 911. Police showed up soon after that.
“Next thing you know, the cop’s out with his gun drawn yelling at them to get the “F” out of the car and put their hands up,” Crystal Cassil, a store employee, said.
“Whenever the cops got out, I just had my hands up to let them know I’m no part of it,” Tillman said.
Police arrested the three alleged suspects.
Tillman says it was a serious situation and is thankful no one was hurt.
He told NewsChannel 4 that he does not know why the men wanted the money from his friend.
