Twerking, lap dance lead to suspension of middle school teacher

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Florida teacher accused of twerking and drinking alcohol at a soccer team party has been suspended.

The Jacksonville area school board voted July 1 to suspend Courtney Spruill without pay, who works as a soccer team coach and PE/Health teacher.

The student, according to the investigative report, claimed the coach was drinking alcohol, twerking on players and got a lap dance from a student at the party.
