OKLAHOMA CITY – Historic items can provide a bit of nostalgia, but they can also be worth some money!
A box camera from the 1920s gives a glimpse into the first time people could take pictures without a photographer.
Now, it is not worth much, only $10 to $15 on the open market.
A potato bin that helped to keep your potatoes fresh and ready to eat is worth $35 to $45.
A print mimicking a famous artist can also be worth $75 to $100 in decorative value.
A transistor radio in the shape of a spark plug was given to auto shops that sold automotive parts.
The radio is worth $150 to $200 now.
Check if you have any treasures around your house that could be worth money!
Bring your antiques to local antique expert Matt McNeil, ISA CAPP, and he will determine if they are ‘Trash or Treasure.’
You may have two of your family heirlooms, antiques or prized possessions appraised for free. Large items like furniture and weapons are not applicable.
