OKLAHOMA CITY – You’ve probably heard the saying that something is worth whatever someone will pay for it.
An original cast iron toy from the 1930s was purchased for $8 but is actually worth $45 to $55.
A set of pottery is worth $125 as a pair.
An Olympic flag that was used in front of the delegates in California before the 1936 games are very unique. However, it is likely something that a specific collector would want.
It could be worth $250 to $300 if you find that specific collector.
Also, rosewood carvings are becoming popular in other markets. In Oklahoma, you may be able to get $400 to $700 for it. However, if you went out of state, you could make $800 to $1,200.
Check if you have any treasures around your house that could be worth money!
Bring your antiques to local antique expert Matt McNeil, ISA CAPP, and he will determine if they are ‘Trash or Treasure.’
You may have two of your family heirlooms, antiques or prized possessions appraised for free. Large items like furniture and weapons are not applicable.
