MIDWEST CITY, Okla. — A Midwest City man arrested for allegedly killing his estranged wife defended himself while police hauled him and his girlfriend off to the county jail Wednesday morning.
A third suspect, 19-year-old Brodric Glover, surrendered Wednesday evening at home on the 1700 block of S. Westwood in Oklahoma City.
Jessica Brown, 23, was shot and killed inside her home on Locust Lane back in January.
She was six months pregnant with her third child at the time of her murder.
The medical examiner released the autopsy report for Brown Wednesday.
She was shot twice in the head, it appears at close range.
This week Fabion Brown, his girlfriend, Emily Matheson, and Brodric Glover were arrested in connection with what police are calling a murder for hire scheme.
The murder happened early on the same day of a divorce hearing scheduled for Jessica and Fabion.
Police say that plays into the motive for the murder.
They say Jessica was planning on moving with the couple’s two children out of state.
They say Fabion owed back child support and felt he was going to go to prison.
As officers moved Fabion to the Oklahoma County jail, he took advantage of the media attention and loudly claimed his innocence in the murder.
He told the cameras, “They say they have a mountain of evidence that says I did it. I just can’t wait to see this mountain of evidence. This isn’t the first time Midwest City has arrested me for something and had to release me. So let’s just see how this plays out.”
He went on to say, “My family knows me and they know I wouldn’t do something like this. I’m not a violent person. I don’t believe in hurting anyone. I love my children. Monday was my son’s birthday. I want to wish him a happy birthday and when this is over I do hope to get my children back.”
Chief Brandon Clabes with the Midwest City Police Department says, “Obviously he’s not going to confess to what his involvement is in the case but Emily Matheson has been honest with us in reference to this and so we are going to move forward with our case. We feel very good about it.”
According to the arrest affidavit, Matheson told police they hired a man named “Savage” to kill Jessica.
Police say that man’s his real name is Brodric Glover.
The documents go on to state Matheson told police Glover called her after the murder and told her, “It’s done.”
Matheson told police Fabion gave her money to pay for the job.
She then met with Glover in the Belle Isle Walmart parking lot.
The court paperwork says video from the store matches up with her story.
The affidavit also says Fabion rented a Kia Soul for the accused killer and paid him a total of $250 for the hit.
Members of law enforcement are still looking for Glover.
Police believe he is still in the metro and a threat to the public.
Chief Clabes says, “He’s a cold-blooded killer. Someone who would take $250 and kill a woman while she’s in her bedroom with her two children I’d be very scared of him.”
The Brown’s two young children are now in DHS custody.
