MUNFORD, Tenn. —  A Tennessee couple has come forward, claiming they are one of the three winners from $1.6 billion Powerball drawing.

John Robinson and his wife Lisa told the TODAY Show that John bought four Powerball tickets on his way home from work Wednesday night.

He says he bought four tickets to represent the four members of their family.

The computer chose the winning numbers of 04, 08, 19, 27, 34 and Powerball 10.

“Actually I was on way home from work, and she had called me and said, ‘Are you going to stop and get a couple lottery tickets?” John said. “I really didn’t feel like stopping that night, but I was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll stop.’ I came home, and I wasn’t feeling good, and I handed the tickets to her and said, ‘I’m going to go lay down.”’

Lisa told the TODAY Show that she watched the drawing and triple checked the numbers before waking up her husband.

“We were up all night,” Lisa said. “We didn’t get any sleep.”

Lisa, who works at a dermatology clinic, says she will continue to work despite winning the massive jackpot.

“I’ll be there Monday,” Lisa said.

According to the TODAY Show, the prize is roughly $533 million if they choose the lump-sum payment, which is $327.8 million after taxes.

The couple told the TODAY Show that they plan to go to Tennessee lottery officials today.
