Sheriff’s Deputies successfully bust meth traffickers after anonymous tip

CANADIAN COUNTY, Okla. – Investigators with the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men early Friday morning after illegal drugs were located in the vehicle they were driving.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a tip on Thursday indicating a substantial quantity of Methamphetamines were scheduled for delivery in El Reno late Thursday night.

27-year-old Kyle Cleveland and 42-year-old Eric McDaniel were taken into custody after investigators followed up on information.

After Sheriff’s Deputies observed numerous traffic violations, the vehicle Cleveland and McDaniel were driving was stopped on Morgan Road south of Interstate 40.

During the traffic stop, investigators found one semi-automatic handgun, two ounces of Methamphetamine, three bottles of steroids, a gram of heroin, 11 Loratabs, a quantity of Xanax and five Viagra capsules.

Investigators recovered $3,290.00 cash, and determined the handgun to be stolen from an Oklahoma City robbery that happened last March.

Checks of both subjects indicated they were both convicted felons, with extensive drug histories, and criminal backgrounds. Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Canadian County Jail where they were charged with Trafficking & Possession of CDS, Felon in Possession of a Firearm after a former conviction, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Drug Proceeds.

Cleveland and McDaniel remain in custody with bond set at $210,500.00 and $275,500.00 respectively.
