CLEVELAND COUNTY, Okla. – A Shawnee attorney has been arrested for allegedly harboring her fugitive boyfriend near Newalla in Cleveland County.

Shelley Lynne Levisay is charged with “harboring a fugitive from justice,” a felony.

Adrian Gerdon had outstanding warrants from Pottawatomie County that included burglary, assault and domestic abuse.

Court documents say after the judge issued an arrest warrant for Gerdon, Levisay, who was in the room, was seen “texting or writing on her cellular phone after the order was given.”

A tip led authorities to Gerdon, who was living in a travel trailer near Newalla. That’s where investigators allegedly found weapons and meth paraphernalia in his residence.

Gerdon was arrested by the Oklahoma Drug and Violent Crime District 23 Task Force.

Investigators say Levisay helped him by loaning him her vehicle and supplying him with other necessaries so he could avoid authorities.

Authorities said security video shows Levisay visiting Gerdon multiple times.

Court documents say “Levisay is seen carrying several plastic grocery style bags inside Gerdon’s trailer.”

Even after Gerdon was arrested, court documents say the relationship continued.

Court documents detail recorded phone calls between Gerden, who was behind bars, and Levisay.

“I went to college for seven years, I’m a good  attorney,” Levisay allegedly said in one conversation.

“Did they find guns out there,” she allegedly said in another.

At one point, she appears to suggest politics are the reason she was arrested.

“He said if I stay around you he’d do it. If I ran for DA he would do it.”

It’s still unclear who the “he” is that Levisay is referring to.

Levisay was taken into custody by Pottawatomie County officials and taken to Cleveland County where she posted bond.
