OKLAHOMA CITY – When the Oklahoma City Thunder announced that a new coach would be taking the reigns at Chesapeake Energy Arena, many fans believed former head coach Scott Brooks wouldn’t be sidelined for long.
However, Yahoo Sports is reporting that Brooks is planning to sit out next season and reconnect with his family.
When Brooks was fired in April, he was receiving some attention from the Denver Nuggets and the New Orleans Pelicans.
Earlier this year, the Thunder announced that Billy Donovan would take over as head coach of the team.
