BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – Authorities are still trying to determine why two boys allegedly killed five family members, injured one and left another unharmed in Broken Arrow.

A new report on Friday afternoon showed a 13-year-old who survived told police when they found her that it was her brothers who had attacked the family.

Police say a 911 call came in around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, from a family member who said they needed help because their brother was attacking the family. The report does not state who made the call.

When officers arrived they heard a faint cry for help.

When police got inside they found the girl with multiple stab wounds who told them her brothers were responsible for the wounds.

After searching the home, police found five deceased victims and an unharmed 2-year-old girl who is now in protective custody.

Authorities report that the deceased victims are two adults, a 5-year-old girl, a 7-year-old male and a 12-year-old male had all been stabbed to death.

The adult victims have since been identified as the parents, 52-year-old David Bever and 44-year-old April Bever.

Officers found fresh footprints in the backyard and a K9 began tracking the two suspects. They were located in a wooded area behind the house.

Police arrested 18-year-old Robert Bever and a 16-year-old boy for the alleged crimes.

Law enforcement sources told KTUL that one of the boys has provided a full confession.

Bever is being charged with 5 counts of murder in the first degree, aggravated assault, and battery with a deadly weapon.

Sources say the murders were planned and they were planning to kill more people.

“I don’t know if there was any remorse or anything going on at this point,” said Cpl. Leon Calhoun, with the Broken Arrow Police Department.

Officials say the teens went on a brutal rampage inside the home.

“I was told knives, there was a hatchet, there was several different types of weapons that were actually used in the homicides,” he said.
