Pres. Obama to announce 5 “Anti-Poverty Zones” including one in Oklahoma

WASHINGTON – Pres. Obama will discuss five proposed anti-poverty zones Thursday, including one here in Oklahoma.

At a White House event, San Antonio, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Southeastern Kentucky and the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma will be announced as the first five “Promise Zones.”

These areas are designed to create jobs and increase economic security by partnering local communities with business.
