Permanent recovery center opens in Moore

MOORE, Okla.- Tornado victims will get their first look at a more permanent place to find help recovering from the storms.

The American Red Cross is teaming up with the Salvation Army, the United Way and other church organizations to open the Moore Recovery Center.

At the new Oklahoma Disaster Recovery Project office, representatives from those agencies will be on hand to discuss the long-term case management.

A ribbon-cutting and open house for the new recovery center is scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday, near S.W. 19th St. and Broadway in Moore.

There will also be long-term case management offices in El Reno and Shawnee.
