Shooter identified after overnight shooting in Guthrie

The shooter has been identified as 29-year-old Justin James Wallace.

Wallace was arrested for Assault and Battery With a Deadly Weapon, and is currently in custody at Logan County Jail.

GUTHRIE, Okla. — Police in Guthrie are investigating a shooting that happened early Saturday morning .

Authorities say they received two 911 calls around 3:15 a.m. about a shooting at the 1300 block of W. Washington St.

The first call came from the alleged victim saying they had been shot in the leg.

The second call came from the alleged shooter saying they were acting in self-defense after being attacked with a knife.

The shooting victim was transported to a metro-area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the investigation.
