CANADIAN COUNTY, Okla. – Three men have been arrested after allegedly trying to have sex with an undercover sheriff’s deputy, who was posing as a 14-year-old girl.
On Monday, investigators arrested 23-year-old Colby Kile after he drove from Elmore City to S.W. 15th and Morgan Rd.
Authorities say Kile, who works as a roughneck in an oil field, requested to be friends with an undercover deputy on Facebook.
After the friendship was accepted, Kile sent the deputy, who was posing as a 14-year-old girl, sexually explicit private messages.
Officials say the deputy also received a nude photograph from Kile.
Deputies learned Kile was convicted of second-degree rape after he had sex with another 14-year-old girl.
“This is exactly the reason I’m committed to this program. Here we have a convicted child rapist who’s still pursuing children for sex, even while on supervised probation,” said Sheriff Randall Edwards, with the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office.
Kile was arrested for soliciting sex with a minor and committing lewd acts with a child under the age of 16.
On Tuesday, deputies arrested 23-year-old Robert Grosskopf after he allegedly initiated an online relationship with a deputy, who was also posing as a 14-year-old girl.
Grosskopf allegedly began a sexually explicit conversation with the deputy on Facebook, asking how experienced she was and what types of sex she was willing to engage in.
Grosskopf admitted to investigators that he knew what he was doing was wrong and illegal, but had every intention of going through with the plan had the girl been real.
“Just when you think you’ve seen it all, you arrest someone who took a taxi-cab to rape a child, because he didn’t have a car of his own,” said Edwards.
Grosskopf was arrested for soliciting sex with a minor.
Investigators also arrested 23-year-old David Miller, of Foss, after he allegedly sent nude photographs of himself to a deputy, posing as a teenager.
Authorities say he also asked for nude photographs of the 14-year-old in return.
Officials say he used extremely graphic language in his texts to the young girl, describing numerous sexual fetishes he was into and would be interested in performing.
Miller was arrested for soliciting sex with a minor and committing lewd acts with a child under the age of 16.
“There’s no telling how many young children are being spared because of the dedication and professional work my deputies routinely perform in this area. I’m extremely proud of their commitment,” Edwards said.
