STILLWATER, Okla. – A little over a week following a deadly accident near campus, Oklahoma State University is planning a community-wide memorial service.
In all, authorities say four people were killed and 46 others were injured at the homecoming parade.
“Following tragedy it is important to bring people together to not only honor the victims and survivors, but unite as a community to show our support and thank the many people who responded to this horrific event,” said Burns Hargis, Oklahoma State University president.
OSU and the City of Stillwater will hold a community-wide memorial service on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
“I believe this service will continue the journey the City of Stillwater and university were forced to travel together,” said Stillwater Mayor Gina Noble. “The memorial service will be another opportunity for us to come together and continue to heal our community.”
