MCINTOSH COUNTY, Okla. – A man suspected in a double-murder in McIntosh County is behind bars.
Last week, 73-year-old Floyd Andrew Hathcoat was found dead inside his home by a neighbor the morning of Aug. 5.
When authorities searched Hathcoat’s home, they also found a second deceased male.
That individual has been identified as 42-year-old Terry Alan Wetselline.
Both men had suffered a single gunshot wound to the head.
McIntosh County officials requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation assist in the homicide investigation.
Later that evening, a local park ranger arrested Floyd’s son, Christopher Jason Hathcoat, for burglarizing a church at the Sequoyah State Park.
Christopher Hathcoat also had outstanding felony warrants.
The younger Hathcoat was also reportedly driving his father’s stolen pickup at the time.
Authorities believe he may be responsible for the double-murder.
He was booked into the McIntosh County Jail for two counts of murder, officials say.
