OKLAHOMA CITY – The family of a man who was gunned down while sitting in his truck is now speaking out about their loved one’s murder.

Syrease McCullough, the victim’s daughter, said, “He had this smile that everyone talked about. We’re not getting to have him in our life and that’s not fair.”

McCullough’s father, Charles Jasper, died last October in the parking lot outside the Liberty Station Apartments on N. Lindsey.

Police found Jasper shot to death in his truck.

So far, investigators have been unable to make an arrest in the case.

Jasper’s family says they are frustrated the investigation has hit a dead-end.

McCullough said, “It is very frustrating because he has been taken from us and the person responsible is still living their life.”

The victim had a criminal history, including several arrests on drug related charges, but Jasper’s family says they still deserve justice.

“For me, I feel there must be someone who knows what happened but haven’t come forward yet,” she said. “Anything could be the thing that cracks the case.”

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact police.

There is a reward for information that leads to an arrest.
