OKLAHOMA CITY – As basketball fans across the country celebrate the start of the NBA season, we are remembering one of our own.

On June 20, 2015, KFOR Sports Director Bob Barry, Jr.  passed away from injuries he sustained in a scooter accident.

As the Oklahoma City Thunder prepare to tip-off against the San Antonio Spurs, the team took time to remember Bob Barry, Jr.

The team dedicated a plaque in honor of Bobby on Wednesday afternoon.

“The Oklahoma City Thunder honors the life and legacy of Bob Barry Jr. The passion, joy and grand sense of humor that “BBJ” demonstrated when covering the Thunder and the NBA will forever remain a part of Oklahoma’s sports landscape. We are all better for knowing, watching and laughing alongside one of our very own.”

The Thunder take on the Spurs at 7 p.m. inside Chesapeake Energy Arena.
