OKLAHOMA CITY — An Oklahoma City man has succumbed to injuries he received after being stabbed earlier this month.

On Nov. 6, 2015, police responded to a call at the 300 block of NW 29th. When they arrived, they found Darryl Hillard covered in blood from stab wounds.

An investigation revealed Hillard was stabbed by Gary Clodfelter during a verbal altercation.

Shortly after, Clodfelter was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon.

Nearly three weeks later, on Nov. 25, Darryl Hillard died as a result of his injuries.

Clodfelter remains in police custody pending the District Attorney’s decision regarding amending the current charge of assault with a dangerous weapon.
