OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City man is facing charges for moving high-grade marijuana after he was pulled over for a traffic stop.
Authorities say a Canadian County Sheriff’s deputy pulled 29-year-old Justin Parker over for following too closely.
Officials say Parker was traveling eastbound on I-40 with less than a car length between his Ford Focus and another vehicle.
After pulling Parker over, officers say they smelled marijuana and brought a drug detector dog around the car.
The dog, “Ruckus,” alerted deputies to the truck of the car, which allegedly contained 5 pounds of a high-grade quality of marijuana known as “Hydro.”
The drugs were all packaged inside 13 plastic bags on the trunk floor of the rental car.
Parker was taken to the Canadian County Jail where he was booked and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
