More help for tornado victims at insurance forum tonight in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY – More than a year after two monster tornadoes carved a path through several metro communities, some storm victims are still dealing with unresolved insurance issues.

Today Insurance Commissioner John Doak is holding a forum for tornado survivors who are still in limbo with their insurance claims.

More than 100,000 claims have been filed since last year’s tornado outbreak with insurance payments topping more than $1 billion.

Tonight the Oklahoma Insurance Department’s consumer assistance, legal, anti-fraud, and Medicare assistance divisions will be on hand to answer questions from storm victims.

The forum starts at 6 p.m. at Westmoore High School.
