Moore schools getting $500,000 grant for tornado shelters today

MOORE, Okla. – The Moore school district is getting some help with new storm shelters in the day ahead.

Thanks to the Oklahoma City Community foundation, Moore Public Schools is getting a $500,000 grant.

The money will be used to build storm shelters at schools in the district.

The grant is part of the community foundation’s Shelter Oklahoma Schools fun established after those deadly tornadoes back in May.

The grant presentation in more is scheduled for Monday.

Calumet, Drummond and Western Heights districts are also receiving similar grants.
