OKLAHOMA CITY – A metro teacher has been arrested on multiple counts of rape, Oklahoma City police say.

On Jan. 29, police say they were notified that a teacher at Choctaw High School was having inappropriate sexual contact with a female student.

Austin Quinton, 24, was taken into custody Friday morning and questioned by police officers.

He was then arrested on multiple counts of rape in the first degree.

Quinton is a first year teacher and assistant wrestling coach.

At this time, police say there appears to be one victim.

Police say the alleged sexual contact occurred in Oklahoma City.

This is the second time Quinton has been arrested this month.

On Jan. 19, the Midwest City Police Department arrested Quinton for petty larceny after allegedly shoplifting a microwave from a local Walmart.

He later posted bond.
