OKLAHOMA CITY — A third year med student at OU Health Sciences Center now facing more than a dozen felony counts for allegedly hacking into student email accounts and secretly videotaping women in a bathroom.
Authorities arrested 25-year-old Dustin Graham this week after a year-long investigation.
Starting in October 2011, the OU Computer Security Team began looking to allegations Graham was hacking into student email accounts.
According to investigators, Graham was easily able to get student passwords by answering pre-set security questions.
Police believe Graham was able to get the answers to individual security prompts with the help of Facebook.
Graham allegedly cross-referenced a student email account with their Facebook page, and then searched for the answers to their security questions.
“We had no ill-intent,” Graham’s attorney, Scott Adams, said. “He didn’t get in there and try to do anything inappropriate even when he was able to hack in.”
The OU Police investigation led them to Graham’s Oklahoma City home, where they seized his laptop computer and stumbled upon some clandestine videos stored in a secret folder.
“I don’t know if there’s a medical term for it or what but it is highly unusual,” Adams said. “Whether it’s illegal or not we’ll just have to find out.”
According to the Probable Cause Affidavit, Graham was video-taping women changing, showering and going to the bathroom at his home.
Detectives believe there are at least 10 victims, including a 13-year-old girl.
Graham is facing one count of child pornography for the video of the teen.
Graham was expelled from the medical school program at OU Health Sciences.
According to Adams, he is seeking counseling and treatment.
The University of Oklahoma confirms Graham is no longer a student but did not comment further because of an ongoing investigation.
