OKLAHOMA CITY – Two people were arrested after allegedly attacking a man in his home.

On Tuesday, police say they were called to reports of an assault in the 1600 block of Gatewood.

When police arrived, a man said his landlord’s daughter, 18-year-old Adaira Gardner, came to his home and started swinging a machete at him.

The alleged victim told police he tried to wrestle the machete away from Gardner and she started screaming for help.

Moments later, a man, later identified as 38-year-old Kerry Allen, came through the front door and started attacking the man.

He allegedly hit the man with his fists, and even a shovel.

The man says he was able to escape and ran to a nearby store where he called police.

When officers went to the alleged victim’s house to check out the scene, they found Gardner and Allen still inside the house.

Gardner insisted she lived in the home and the alleged victim was not supposed to be there.

She claimed she was the one who was attacked.

However,  police were not convinced she was telling the truth since she did not appear to have any injuries.

Allen told police that he was Gardner’s friend and he was just coming to her rescue when he heard her screaming for help.

Allen and Gardner were both arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon.
