MURRAY COUNTY, Okla. — The man who was driving the semi that slammed into a college school bus and killed four students has been charged with four counts of manslaughter.
Russell Staley, 53, turned himself in to the Murray County Jail Thursday, according to OHP.
The accident happened on I-35 in Murray County back in September of 2014.
Troopers say four NCTC softball players were killed in the crash.
Three of the young women were pronounced dead at the scene, another died at an area hospital in Sulphur.
The team was on their way home from a game against Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma.
Staley’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 28th.
