OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City Thunder returned home Tuesday to a large crowd cheering them on.

Hundreds of fans gathered at Will Rogers World Airport.

It was like Loud City at the airport as fans erupted in cheers at the sight of the team exiting the plane.

“We’re very proud of their season and very proud of each and every one of the guys,” said Susan Adams, a fan.

Fans started gathering hours before the team arrived.

“I brought an umbrella and everything else,” Adams said. “I’ll be here when they get here.”

Fans of all ages came out, hoping for a glimpse of their favorite players.

When the plane landed, the players made their way to the crowd, giving high fives and shaking hands before taking a moment to say thanks.

“You guys have been great supporters,” said Kevin Durant.

“Seeing you guys right now is amazing,” said Russell Westbrook. “Next year, we’ll try to do better.”

Despite a hard loss Monday night, fans said they aren’t giving up on this team.

“We are proud of them and that we’ll be here whether they win or lose,” Adams said.

While their season may be over, we’re told many of the players will be back at the practice facility tomorrow to keep practicing.
