EDMOND, Okla. – A former band director at an Edmond high school was arrested Thursday morning for soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by use of technology.
The Oklahoma County District Attorney filed charges against 28-year-old Cameron Kedy, who was the band director at Edmond Memorial High School, on Wednesday.
Investigators allege the relationship began when the student was 16-years-old and lasted for years.
We’re told the victim is now 18-years-old.
Kedy began working for Edmond Public Schools in 2011.
He’s charged with soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by use of technology.
We’re told he could be facing more charges.
He turned himself in to the Oklahoma County Jail on Thursday.
He immediately bonded out.
