HINTON, Okla. – A forensic artist has reconstructed the skull of a woman who was dumped on the side of I-40 in Hinton, Oklahoma, hoping someone will recognize her.
On April 7, 2015, a Department of Transportation worker was clearing brush along I-40 near Hinton when he discovered a body in a nearby ditch.
According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, the body was badly decomposed, making it difficult for investigators to determine the victim’s race and gender.
A medical examiner later determined the body belonged to a female between 18 and 35 years old, but most likely in her mid 20s.
The medical examiner believes the woman stood between 4’8″ and 5’3″ tall.
She may also be of African-American decent.
She was likely dead for several weeks before being found, doctors told the OSBI.
Her cause of death remains unknown.

About a week after the woman’s body was discovered, authorities released pictures of a navel ring and wedding ring set found with the victim. Recently, officials released a picture of a unique earring the woman was found wearing.
