OKLAHOMA CITY – After the Thunder’s devastating loss last night to the Memphis Grizzlies, many fans are crying foul.
The Thunder rallied to tie the game before the end of regulation after trailing by as many as 20 points.
The series then went into overtime for the fourth consecutive time, which set a NBA playoff record for most consecutive overtime games.
What happened in overtime has Thunder fans up in arms.
While Durant was at the free-throw line, NBA referee Joey Crawford stopped the Thunder star from shooting his second free throw.
When he did get to go, he missed.
His miss cost the Thunder a chance to tie the game.
NBA officials say the referee had to stop the game because of a problem with the scoreboard.
Many Thunder fans are not buying it, saying Crawford’s actions help turn the tide of the game.
The loss added to the frustration that many Thunder fans were already experiencing after Cox Cable experienced an outage during the height of the game.
Cox says it was a technical issue in Oklahoma City that caused the blackout.
