OKLAHOMA CITY – Parts of Oklahoma are still blanketed in snow but the entire state still needs a lot more moisture.
The U.S. Drought Monitor report was released Thursday.
It shows that 47 percent of Oklahoma is experiencing some stage of drought, from extreme drought in the southwest corner to abnormally dry in the northeast.
On the bright side, the state’s southeast corner is on track for adequate moisture, which is a big improvement over one year ago.
