OKLAHOMA CITY — Two teens have been killed after they were shot while driving in a metro neighborhood. A homeowner called 911 after a car plowed into a duplex near NW 5th St. and Rockwell Ave. Tuesday afternoon.
When firefighters arrived, they put out the car and home fire and then made a gruesome discovery.
They found two teens, 19-year-old Keenen Banks and 17-year-old Quinyon Wallace, in the car, both had been shot, and pulled them from the wreckage.
A witness told us he heard gunshots and then a loud boom when the car hit the garage.
He says one of the teens had been shot in the head.
“You know freak things happen every once in a while and I think it was one of those freak thinks,” a neighbor said.
Oklahoma City Police are now searching for a black male seen running away from the scene.
Police say he was wearing an orange shirt and camouflage pants.
Investigators aren't calling him a suspect, but they do want to question him.
“They come through the neighborhood, all the little gangsters and thugs come through, and tear this neighborhood up,” another neighbor said.
Police haven't said whether the shooting is gang-related.
