Bikes ride into Moore to help a family rebuild what was lost

MOORE, Okla. – Volunteers have come from across the country to help Moore rebuild.

Today is no exception.

Bicyclers from Charleston, SC are joining a family whose home was damaged in last year’s tornadoes to help volunteers from People’s Church and Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity begin framing their new home.

People’s Church is providing funding and the volunteers needed to build a home for Billy and Kristen Farrell and their two young children after they lost everything during last year’s devastating tornadoes.

Though the family was aware of an impending storm, they didn’t know how severe the storm was going to be or how it would impact their lives so drastically.

Central Oklahoma Habitat is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry that provides affordable housing for hardworking families with limited income.
