OKLAHOMA – Do you know any adopted cats or dogs that have done something heroic, such as saving a human’s life or making a difference through community service?

If so, the Central Oklahoma Humane Society wants to honor and recognize these furry pets at their “Hero Awards,” scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 27th at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel, located at 1 Park Ave. in downtown Oklahoma City.

Ultimately, the “Hero Awards” are to raise awareness about adoption through a fostering program and to save more pets.

To nominate a pet, applications are being accepted now through August 24th at 11:59 p.m.

Forms can be downloaded at www.okhumaneheroes.org or picked-up in person at the OK Humane Adoption Center located at 7500 N. Western Ave in Oklahoma City.

Also check out the “OK Humane Heroes” application on your smart phone which can be downloaded in the Apple or Google Play stores.
