Raised in Maryland, Lili joined KFOR in July 2017 after spending three years in Salisbury, Maryland at the ABC/CW affiliate WMDT. There, she served as a weekend producer and reporter before eventually moving onto the desk as the weekend anchor and senior reporter.
During her time on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, she covered coastal flooding, politics, and a number of rallies during the 2016 presidential election. A few stories that caught national attention include a massive puppy mill bust considered the “worst case” Maryland had seen and the explosion of the unmanned Antares rocket seconds after launching from NASA’s Wallops Island Flight Facility in Virginia.
She graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and minor in Political Science. She is currently in the process of earning a Master’s degree in Political Science from Virginia Tech. Outside of school, she was an active member of Delta Zeta Sorority and held a number of internships including FOX 29 Philadelphia, CBS 2 New York, and “Nightline” on ABC News.
She is very excited to call Oklahoma City ‘home’ and to join the team at KFOR! Send her story ideas at lili.zheng@kfor.com and be sure to follow her on Twitter @lilizhengtv.
