Dylan Buckingham is a Sports Photojournalist/Reporter for Oklahoma’s News 4. He was born and bred right here in Oklahoma and is living his dream everyday covering sports in the state where he grew up. Originally from Tulsa, he joins us from Amarillo, Texas where he was the weekend sports anchor at KFDA-TV and co-host of the radio show “Sports 360.”
Dylan is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Communications. During his time as a Broncho, Dylan served as sports director for KUCO-TV, host of “The Huddle” and earned awards for best Sports Story and best TV/Magazine Show for his work on “The Huddle.”

Life Goal – To be a good dad to some great kiddos
Play any sports/Favorite Sport – I played just about everything growing up. Basketball is my favorite to play, football is my favorite to watch.
Favorite TV Show – Any sport on TV, SportsCenter, Entourage, How I Met Your Mother, Arrested Development
Favorite Car – My first, a 1993 Eddie Bauer Ford Bronco. It was awesome. In fact, I’m positive its why my wife married me

Favorite food – Cheeseburgers of any sort or Subway.
I have a pet – 2 dogs. A Shih-Tzu named Piper and a Golden Retriever named Lambeau.
Knew you wanted to be a reporter when – I was 13 and realized I would never play sports professionally.

Favorite holiday – Christmas
School fight song – You can’t go wrong with any college fight song
People are surprised when I tell them – I took drum lessons from Eric Clapton’s old drummer (Jamie Oldaker) and I used to live in Boston when I was little.
I like to listen to – Any type of rock music or sports talk.
Favorite Book – Of Mice and Men
I’d jump at the chance to – do voice-over work in a cartoon or host a game show. Both of those things would be amazing to do.
Best part of the day – when the day is done and we’ve had three successful sportscasts.
Favorite place to be other than home & work – At any family member’s house or hanging out with friends.
Anything else you want viewers to know about you – I’m a ridiculously large sports fan, my TV is always on ESPN and my favorite professional sports teams are the Packers, Celtics, Red Sox and Bruins!
