OKLAHOMA CITY – One person is dead after a drive-by shooting in NE Oklahoma City Friday evening.

Police say a white van was traveling on Lincoln Blvd. near NE 33rd St. around 10:30 p.m. when another vehicle drove past the van and fired three to five shots into the vehicle.

A backseat passenger, an adult male, was hit by the gunfire.

He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

“They were telling me it was my cousin’s nephew,” said Rochelle Clark. She says she got a call Saturday night.

“First, I got a call from my sister last night asking if we were okay. And I was like, ‘huh?’ And she was like, ‘well, you sleep, but there’s a lot of police on the corner and it looks like they have you all’s street blocked off,” said Clark, who didn’t know at the time it was her relative who had been killed.

“It’s sad when anybody gets killed,” said Clark. “I mean, all this killing, it really needs to stop. But, that’s the world we live in.”

Police say right now, they do not have a description of the suspect.

If you know anything, give police a call.
