MOORE, Okla. – A woman is in serious condition following an overnight shooting at an apartment complex in Moore.
Just before midnight Thursday, police said two women ended their relationship.
One of the women, who at the time police believed was the alleged suspect, then left the apartment.
Officials said she later came back with a group of friends.
Someone then allegedly fired a pistol through the door, hitting her ex-girlfriend’s mother who was inside the apartment.
The woman was shot in the arm and the chest.
She was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.
Police determined the ex-girlfriend was not the suspect and that it was actually Cesar Mattox who allegedly fired the weapon.
Cesar Mattox, 23, was arrested and booked into the Cleveland County Jail for assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
