ALBANY, Oregon – It’s a case of road rage unlike any other law enforcement in Oregon have ever seen – a driver used a green laser, pointing it directly into a woman’s eyes behind the wheel.

Miranda Senters was heading to work Tuesday during the early morning commute before the sun came up.

She says the driver came up behind her in the fast lane, but, with vehicles surrounding her, she was unable to move to the right.

Senters says the driver kept speeding up and slowing down behind her, shining his brights before pulling out a laser and pointing it into her rearview mirror, causing Senters to lose control.

“He hit me directly in the middle of my eye and everything went black,” Senters told KMTR. “At the beginning it was like, ‘Oh my God, my car is spinning. I really just hope no one hits me.’ And then he hit me and that was when I was like, ‘Oh my God, I just got hit.'”

The suspect’s vehicle hit Senters’ car twice before he took off without even slowing down.

That crash caused a multi-car pileup on I-5 and the driver has not yet been found.

Oregon State Police are looking for an older, light blue Honda Civic that will now have a dent on the driver’s side and a broken headlight.

It’s owner would also own a green laser pointer, and because he knew exactly where to point it in the rearview mirror, this might not be the first time he’s used it on the road.

Authorities are hoping they find him before another laser incident occurs.
