Police identify body found in north Tulsa dumpster

TULSA, Okla. –  Police in Tulsa have released the name of a 19-year-old woman who was found dead in a trash bin outside a north Tulsa apartment complex.

Police say the body of Marquisha Walker was found Friday morning and her boyfriend was arrested for first-degree murder in her death.

Sgt. Dave Walker says the boyfriend called police about 5:30 a.m. Friday to report Walker missing, then called again shortly after 7 a.m. to say he had found the woman dead in the trash bin.

Walker said a search of the man’s apartment revealed that is where Martin was killed and the boyfriend was arrested after questioning. Court records do not show that he has been formally charged.

Walker says a gun believed to have been used in the slaying has been recovered.
