LOGAN COUNTY, Okla. — A man hunt continues in Oklahoma for a man considered armed and dangerous.
Christopher Blake Scruggs is accused of nearly beating a man to death on Oct. 14.
He is also a person of interest in a Blaine County murder.
The 23-year-old has a lengthy rap sheet. He has served time in prison for a list of crimes, including burglary and animal cruelty.
Some law enforcement officials told NewsChannel 4 that he is possibly one of the most dangerous individuals they have dealt with.
Recently, we learned Scruggs’ girlfriend was arrested. But still no sign of him.
Sunshine Davis, 19, is now sitting in the Logan County Jail on a $75,000 bond. She faces an assault and battery charge.
According to an affidavit, deputies say she laughed as her boyfriend Blake Scruggs and his brother Cody brutally beat a man.
“The victim was beaten with a firearm,” Sgt. Greg Valencia, with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, said. “This victim was injured badly enough that he was hospitalized at least overnight and he did have some fractures to his skull.”
A day later, Cody turned himself in. Then Friday night, investigators finally got ahold of Sunshine.
Deputies say they found her hiding in a home not far from where the beating took place.
The only person left to arrest in the case is Blake.
Blake is no stranger to those at the Logan County Sheriff’s Office. Back in 2011, he and his brother were arrested for animal cruelty.
“They were killing and decapitating some animals,” Sgt. Valencia said.
Now today, Blake is connected with another violent crime. He is considered a person of interest in the murder of 18-year-old Caylee Massey.
A witness told investigators she was shot and killed by a hitchhiker (believed to be Blake).
Deputies say Blake is a threat to the public and hope to locate him soon.
