Report: Missing girls found safe in Woodward home

UPDATE: Two girls, who were reported missing earlier this week, have been found safe, according to the Woodward News.

The newspaper says the girls were still with their mother, Brittany Woolery,” and were found inside a home south of Woodward.

 

WOODWARD COUNTY, Okla. — Police are still searching for two young girls who are missing and believed to be in danger.

According to detectives on the case, the girls’ mother, Brittany Woolery, was supposed to go to court and turn over the children to their father.

However, she never went to the courthouse and is now missing, along with the children.

Police say 5-year-old Peyton Upchurch and her 4-year-old sister, Kennedy, were last seen in the 1400 block of Madison at 3:48 p.m. on Monday.

Authorities believe Woolery may be headed to either Oklahoma City or Nebraska.

They may be in an older model white Ford Taurus that possibly has damage to the front end.
