The San Antonio Spurs ended the Oklahoma City Thunder’s four-game winning streak with a 130-91 rout of the Thunder on Wednesday night at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.
The 39-point defeat was the second worst loss for the Thunder since the team moved to Oklahoma City before the 2008-09 season, trailing only a 42-point loss to Minnesota in 2009.
OKC also allowed the fifth most points in Thunder history, the fourth most in a non-overtime game.
The Spurs shot 58 percent from the field and outscored OKC in every quarter, on their way to ending a six-game regular season losing streak to the Thunder, including three straight at home.
The Thunder shot just 40 percent from the field for the game, and were outrebounded by 14, 50-36.
Russell Westbrook and Enes Kanter led the Thunder with 16 points each, with Kanter recording a double double with 10 rebounds.
Dion Waiters was the only other Thunder player in double figures with 14 points.
The Spurs made 13 three-pointers, and had seven players in double figures, led by Tony Parker’s 21 points.
The Thunder trailed by as many as 44 points in the fourth quarter in giving up a season high in points.
OKC drops to 41-31 on the season, and will continue their three-game road trip when they visit Utah Saturday night at 8:00.
