Oklahoma authorities searching for man who allegedly fired gun into child’s room

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma authorities are searching for a man who allegedly fired a gun into a child’s bedroom.

21-year-old Tylin Rayshawn Childers is wanted on several charges related to a violent crime that occurred in Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office said on their Facebook.

Eyewitnesses told police that Childers choked a woman during an argument.

After friends rushed to help the victim, Childers walked outside and got into his car.

He then allegedly attempted to run over several other victims who were standing outside the home in the front yard.

Officials say he then got out of his car, kicked in the front door of the house and pulled out a handgun.

He allegedly fired several rounds into the house, including one into a child’s bedroom.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Childers is facing charges of:

  • Shooting with intent to kill
  • Domestic abuse by strangulation
  • Burglary 1
  • 4 counts of domestic assault with a dangerous weapon
  • Discharging a firearm
