UPDATE: Video of fireball over Oklahoma City called a fake

UPDATE: A video that spread through national networks is now being called a fake.

The Weather Channel originally shared the video, which claimed to show a fireball that was shot over Oklahoma City.

However, a PR firm representing Digital Tutors says the video was created as a recruitment tool and is not real.

The Weather Channel has since removed the video from its site.

OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City resident captured amazing video of a fireball shooting across the Oklahoma sky.

According to the Weather Channel, a bright meteor shot across the Oklahoma City sky Wednesday morning.
