BROOKLYN – A former teacher’s aide at a Brooklyn elementary school has been sentenced to 50 years in prison on a conviction of child pornography charges, federal prosecutors say.
Taleek Brooks, a former aide at PS 243, The Weeksville School, was sentenced in federal court Wednesday.
He was arrested on January 2012 after FBI agents said they found homemade child pornography on his computer.
Prosecutors say some of the videos recovered on the computer showed a young boy being sexually assaulted inside school classrooms between 2010 and 2011.
The boy was confirmed to be a former student at PS 243.
