MIDWEST CITY, Okla. – Missing for 10 days, a Midwest City mother is gone without a trace. Now, the woman’s family is searching for answers after her car was found abandoned.

“At 4:30 in the morning, she never came back,” said Melissa Howe.

That was the last time Melissa saw her daughter, 20-year-old mother Searra Howe.

Searra told her mom, back on August 19th, she was meeting someone at McDonald’s and she’d be back in 30 minutes.

However, Searra never made it to the restaurant.

“We’ve been looking for her for 10 days,” Melissa said.

Instead, later that day, her car was found abandoned in a neighborhood on North 21st and May.

“They trashed it. I just don’t know where she’s at,” Melissa said.

Melissa said this behavior is out of character for her daughter, who has a 17-month-old son to take care of. At this point, she can’t help but to think the worst.

“She loved her baby, and I keep thinking she’s in a ditch somewhere. It’s been too long,” Melissa said.

Days now turning into weeks, and Melissa hasn’t received a single call from Searra or leads about where she may be. She said the family has been out canvassing places she was known to be seen last, hoping to find out something that can ease her worries.

“My daughter wouldn’t just leave and never come back, not answer her phone, not charge her phone,” Melissa said.

Melissa just wants things to go back to normal.

“I just want my daughter back. I want her home. I just want her home,” Melissa said.

Searra was last seen wearing a teal paisley dress and gold sandals. If you know anything, contact Midwest City police.
